Warehouse and Sales Support – Full-Time

CCTV Kits is an online retailer of security products with local warehouse and showroom facilities in Bidford on Avon. 

Job description 

A motivated person is required to join our friendly team to help with our busy warehouse and sales team.

 We are ideally looking for someone to assist our warehouse and sales teams with picking/packing orders and putting stock away, but also someone who is confident to speak to our customers face to face, on the telephone, live chats or through email as and when needed. 

The Purpose of This Job

To provide a friendly service and assist customers with basic sales and technical knowledge in order to support our technical sales team.  There is potential for progression into a more sales/technical focused role for the right candidate.

 The Main Accountabilities

  • Provide support to the warehouse team during busy periods to ensure that orders are picked, packed and shipped as soon as possible.
  • Assist with checking off deliveries and putting them in the correct warehouse locations.
  • Assist with updating our websites – pricing, products etc (Critial to be focused with attention to detail)
  • Engage with our customers through face-to-face contact in our showrooms, over the telephone, live chat and email to provide excellent customer service and sales/technical support.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and departments, whilst maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Be proactive and use initiative.
  • Meet the training and development standards required for the job.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working in a customer service environment.  This is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues, as and where needed.
  • Good literacy, numeracy, verbal communication skills are required. IT literacy is a must.
  • Ideally, technically minded with the ability to learn about products in detail to get to grips with our security technology products.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to listen and express themselves clearly.
  • Welcomes change, flexible and can adapt and deal with the various demands of the business.
  • Honest, acts with integrity and takes responsibility.
  • The warehouse side of the role can be quite physically demanding and will require you to be able to lift and carry boxes of around 20kg.  You must be comfortable to spend the majority of the time in the warehouse on your feet and standing for extended periods.
